Our School Programmes are linked to both the IB and British National Curriculum
Drawing upon more than 12 years of experience working closely with schools, we have created a comprehensive Outdoor Education Curriculum with links to both the International Baccalaureate Curriculum and the British National Curriculum. Our programmes focus on whole-person development as we nurture the sensitivity, tolerance, creative thinking and potential of tomorrow’s global leaders in today’s students.

Registration for school camps should be no later than three month before the starting date of the camp. Peak camping dates (Sept-November) are often requested a year or more in advance for both residential and camping.
We provide insurance coverage for all participants on our programmes. Schools and parents are required to have medical and dietary information submitted to us before all programmes start to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Please contact us for our policies.

We promote life long learning by ensuring that students assess and reflect upon the experiences they have undertaken and incorporate it within the interlinked ripples of inquiry, action, reflection, application, completion. Our camp curriculum objectives set the scene for our chosen activities. We believe young learners develop social skills through a balanced understanding of Adventure, Community and the Environment. The key human traits and attitudes set the focus for what we are developing which offers opportunities based on inquiry learning. In keeping with the natural transition of self-discovery and ensuring a durable base of skills and knowledge throughout the years, every activity has relations with other activities and allows commonality of structure. Each activity includes an introduction and debriefing on the expectations and reflections of their experiential learning. Reflections will include self-assessment, group assessment and feedback.

Progressive Programmes
We aim to integrate primary level curriculum outcomes with our outdoor education courses. We provide opportunities to foster an awareness, love and respect for self, others and the environment. In terms of self, we enable progression of mental, physical and emotional attributes by concentrating on the development of the IB Learner Profile:
Year 2 – Family Day camp
Year 3 – The Year of Discovery
Year 4 – The Year of Empathy
Year 5 – The Year of Investigation and Inquiry
Year 6 – The Year of Leadership and Application
Our Activities List:
We have an exciting and ever growing range of activities to offer! Please contact us: for our complete list. We work with teachers to customize our programmes for your school.

Treasure Island and Global Adventures are based on Lantau Island with other locations in Hong Kong and throughout Asia.
Our Pui O base camp, located on Lantau Island and one of Hong Kong’s safest beaches, includes a private camp site, a restaurant, showers and washroom amenities, en-suite bedrooms for school staff and a multi-function room with all necessary IT and wireless Internet infrastructure.
Our Residential Camp Facility includes the new YWCA in San Shek Wan, Lantau Island, just five minutes from Pui O Beach. This new residential facility complements our programmes with on-site activities such as archery, rock climbing, ropes course and can include an Overnight Expedition where the students sleep overnight in tents.
Other locations include camping and residential sites in the Asia-Pacific region: China, Philippines, Thailand, Laos and New Zealand / Australia.

Our Environmental Day Camps are designed to help students better understand our environment within curriculum-based programme taught in the field.
Our topics include:
River Studies, Local Plants and their traditional uses, Wetland and Sandy Shore Habitats, Tree Id, Composting, Water Cycle and Pollution, Land Usage and Features, and more. Additionally, community service projects can be incorporated into any of our environmental day camp programmes. Preparing farmland, reading support programmes, rural communities research, visiting homes for the elderly and beach clean ups are a few of our community projects.
We offer two special programmes in the spring season:
- SOS (Save our Seas Programme)
The Save our Seas programme, held on World Ocean Day, looks at marine life and habitats in our environment and ways to protect our Blue Planet.
- Eco-Camp
Students will spend a day on eco-camp looking at carbon footprints, water shelters, herbal plants and self-sufficient living with our mini-garden and organic cooking sessions.

Want your EAL/ESL class to experience a uniquely stimulating language platform?
Our English Outdoor Education Day camps provide the perfect motivation for enhanced communication in English, as students experience English Language immersion, having to communicate in real life situations with our native English Speaking Treasure Island Leaders.
Students employ active listening skills as well as a variety of speaking skills (including pronunciation development with native English speakers and confidence in interacting in a real conversation). Reading and writing skills are also brought into play as students learn new topics, do research, and fill in related worksheets.
