Treasure Island is looking for suitable candidates to join our Freelance Training Programme and become the leaders of tomorrow.
WHO:
We train and work with adults who love the outdoors, enjoy working with children and youths, so this course is ideally suited for Lantau based working Professionals, a stay at home parent, sports coaches or those looking for a change in direction wanting to retrain but also wanting to stay local. Successful participants will be offered guaranteed Freelance opportunities with Treasure Island for at least 2 seasons (Summer & Autumn/Fall).
WHAT:
Our Certified Training Programme comprises:
- 3 Days of land-based activities designed around TIG’s own ACE (Adventure, Community and Environment) Programme;
- 2D/1N – Leave No Trace (LNT) Environmental Conservation Programme leading to USA Life-long International Certification;
- 2D – British Canoeing (Kayaking Course) leading to UK Life-long International Certification;
- 1D – First Aid Course leading to 2-year valid certificate.
WHERE:
The training programme will be held at Treasure Island, Pui O Beach, Lantau Island.

The Leave No Trace Centre for Outdoor Ethics is an international organization with presence in UK, US, Australia and major countries in Asia including Hong Kong. LNT’s core mission is to protect the outdoors by teaching and inspiring people to enjoy it responsibly. The Centre accomplishes this by delivering international certification courses involving cutting-edge education and research.
LEAVE NO TRACE – AWARNESS WORKSHOP
An Awareness Workshop is a formal Leave No Trace training that is one-day or less in length and includes a certificate at the end of the workshop. These workshops are tailored to educators, youth, college students, scouts, outdoor professionals or anyone with an interest in learning more about Leave No Trace skills and ethics. At the core of these trainings are the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace. However, the presented information can be easily adapted for specific audiences, environments or recreational needs.

LEAVE NO TRACE – TRAINER COURSE
The two-day Leave No Trace Trainer Course is a certification course and is a vital component of the national Leave No Trace program. It is a condensed version of the Master Educator Course and is designed for educators, guides, agency employees, other outdoor professionals and anyone interested in learning more about minimum impact skills and ethics. This course covers the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace as well as techniques for disseminating these low impact skills.
